Tenaglia serves at CP24 as a Remote Reporter/Host and field reporter. Since rejoining the station, she has provided high-profile stories including Mayor Rob Ford’s cancer diagnosis announcement and the 2016 Tim Bosma murder trial. Also, she covered the funeral for Corporal Nathan Cirillo, the murdered soldier. Tenaglia also has had the responsibility of delivering live coverage of Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty’s resignation in October 2012, the July 2012 Danzig Street shooting in Scarborough, and the Toronto flood in the summer of 2013. Additionally, Tenaglia has enjoyed the moment of interviewing various stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Ryan Gosling, and Matthew McConaughey at the Toronto International Film Festival.
She says that working with CP24 is her sort of homecoming, having worked out of Bell Media’s 299 Queen St. Headquarters from the year 2006 to the year 2008. She worked for the Gemini-nominated and RTDNA-winning investigative news show SILVERMAN HELPS on CP24 (and CityNews) as an Associate Producer and Researcher. She and her team worked to solve many consumer-related cases for viewers every year.
Before joining CP24, she was working as a CTV News trainer, where she worked with Journalists for Human Rights (JHR). She spent 5 months there. Before that, she served at CHCH Television, where she wore many hats; Reporter, Anchor, Videographer, and Producer for 4 years. Tenaglia has also worked in an investigative news unit at CityNews in Toronto for 2 years. There, she served as a researcher and Associate Producer, where he produced investigative and consumer news pieces for a high-quality local news broadcast.
Tenaglia won the RTDNA Canada President’s Fellowship Award in the year 2011. This award was allowing her to attend the acclaimed Poynter Institute for Journalism in St. Petersburg, Florida. She attends the annual news conferences including the United States Seminars for Investigative Reporters and Editors and the RTDNA Canada National Conference.
When she is not working, she likes and enjoys mentoring young broadcasters and students. She is a strong supporter of Gilda’s Club Toronto. This is a facility that provides free emotional and social support which benefits anyone suffering from cancer. Tenaglia resides in Toronto and she’d like to be fluent in Italian, but she studies Arabic.
