Gutfreund began working as a Weather and Traffic Specialist in May 2009. He took the position of Remote Host in the year 2011, and he reports from many of the city’s festivals, parades, fundraisers, and musical events such as the MMVAs. Gutfreund’s energetic and enthusiastic reports have been featured on CTV NEWS CHANNEL, MuchMusic, and 104.5 CHUM FM.
In the year 2014, he began co-hosting CP24 BREAKFAST WEEKEND. Most Recently, Gutfreund was chosen as the winner of the National and Regional Best in Journalism at the 2016 Notable Awards. Gutfreund started working for CP24 as an editorial assistant and subsequently became a general assignment reporter.
