In 2018 and 2019, D.J. presented Nexstar Media Group’s New Year’s Eve extravaganza (Lone Star NYE!) in Dallas. The Texas-sized bash takes place at Texas Live! venue in Arlington. In 2010, he was named the Mackey Award winner as the country’s finest tight end and went on to play in the NFL. He was picked in the fifth round by the Green Bay Packers and eventually signed with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
