Dayton, Ohio is his native home. He attended the University of St. Thomas in Houston where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology. Furthermore, in 1979, he was honored with the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval.
His television career began at WCMH in Columbus, Ohio where he served as a backup meteorologist. Later on, he joined the KTIV television station in Sioux City, Iowa where he served as the chief meteorologist, and later joined the KRIS station where he serves as a chief meteorologist. In addition. he has been recognized for his outstanding work almost every year while working at KRIS.
He has received awards such as; the Corpus Christi Caller-Times “Best of the Best” award each and every year since 1995, and the “Associated Press’ “Best Weathercast.” He is actively involved with Women’s Shelter fundraising, The Alzheimer’s Association, and many area festivals such as the George West Storyfest.
