During her stint at KAEF-TV, she was also responsible for anchoring the night newscasts, as well as contributing to the production of newscasts.

Prior to going to KAEF-TV, she was in college and while there, she had an internship at Pacific Coast TV (a local non-profit television station) in Pacifica, California for 1 year and 2 months (from Jul 2020 to August 2021). While at Pacific Coast TV, she was responsible for creating the Monday-to-Friday reports, and anchoring “State of Events”, San Francisco State University’s news broadcast program.

Romero says she chose a career in journalism to give the community a stronger voice and make sure officials do their jobs right. She realized she wanted to do this when she took a video art class in high school and found she loved sharing news. She takes pride in representing the Latino community on the Central Coast.
