Darrell serves as an anchor of KFDX 3 News @ 10 with Gwyn Bevel since January 2012. He joined the station in 1992 as a studio camera operator. Darrell was directing weekend newscasts a year later. When Darrell went from production to the newsroom in January 1994, he began reporting and then producing.

He then began anchoring and producing weekend newscasts in the summer of 1996. Darrell did this and reported on stories from around the region until October 2005, when he moved to KJTL to anchor Fox, Texoma’s News @ 9. In January 2012, he began hosting KFDX 3 News At 10 full-time, followed by KFDX 3 News @ 5 and 6 in March 2018.

Darrell grew raised in Iowa Park.  In 1988, he graduated from Iowa Park High School. Band, jazz band (trumpet), and tennis were among his childhood interests. Connor, Kamryn, and Collin are the three children of Darrell and his wife, Kelly.

Darrell spends his free time with his family, viewing current and classic movies, grilling and barbecuing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys with friends.
