Weiner produces reports for the 11 News I-Team and also serves as the co-anchor of WBAL-TV 11 News weeknights at 6 and 11 p.m. She began her journalism career in 1987 at WYFF-TV in Greenville, South Carolina. Weiner also spent several years working for WBFF-TV in Baltimore serving as an anchor as well as a reporter. Later in 1994 she left the station and joined ABC NEWS serving as a Washington Correspondent.
In 2002, Weiner, later on, joined WBAL-TV enclosing various topics that had to do with social justice and politics. She alongside her colleagues produced a documentary name “Survivors Among Us,” which was one hour long and featured the stories of local Holocaust survivors in 2005. They, later on, produced another documentary by the name of “Rebounding from Loss,” in 2012 which featured a Baltimore high school basketball team after the tragic loss of one of their players.
Weiner has also managed to win several awards ever since she started her journalism career. For instance, she is a recipient of several Emmy awards for in-depth writing and reporting along with many other industry accolades. She also received an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award, for her investigation of Baltimore’s juvenile justice system.
