Murrow, an Associated Press award-winning journalist whose work has taken him from being embedded all around the U.S. and in the war in Iraq. Currin has served for more than 18 years reporting almost every aspect of meaningful journalism. He was in the Great Smoky Mountains.
This was before he began working in the Midlands, then for eight years in Waco, Texas. There he served on the networks of the day’s flagship newscasts and was the principal evening anchor and managing editor. During his journalistic career, he has featured several national headlines events while at Channel 6 including the Twin Peaks massacre, the second Ft. Hood shootings, the West, TX fertilizer plant explosion, the Dallas, TX shootings, and a local hospital explosion.
His political report was unrivaled in reporting retired President Bill Clinton’s role in a local election scandal. He had the opportunity to interview the retired Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, leading figure in the Civil Rights Movement Vernon Jordan, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel-al Jubeir, John Cornyn, Senators Ted Cruz. Additionally, he also featured several national and international leaders.
They included lawmakers working on Capitol Hill for dozens of states during his storied career. Currin’s work was noted in a national political documentary. In Fayetteville, Arkansas, he reported several Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Northwest Arkansas including Tyson Foods, Walmart Stores, and more. He worked as a producer for Wolf Blitzer at CNN in Washington, D.C prior to moving into local news. Additionally, in Washington, D.C. he also reported the death of Saddam Hussein and other national and international stories.
Currin began his career at radio in the Washington, D.C., and New York City areas.
