Further,  he served CBS13 and FOX23 in Portland, Maine as a weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter for three years. He joined the WGME and WPFO weather team in 2019. Dustin is from suburban Chicago and has spent his entire life around the Great Lakes.  He started his career at WLUC in Marquette, Michigan as a weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter in 2011.

The Upper Peninsula’s extreme winters had Bonk covering dozens of winter storms and blizzards. Some of Bonk’s more memorable experiences there include interviewing Bill Nye the Science Guy, reporting on the Duck Lake Wildfire, and observing the northern lights over Lake Superior.

In 2013, Bonk moved downstate to WILX and WSYM in Lansing. In five years in Michigan’s Mitten, he covered events such as the Portland, the 2013 Ice Storm, MI Tornado, and the August 2018 Tornadoes. After seven years in the Great Lakes State, Bonk has moved to Portland to continue his career and he is excited to see what the Northeast has to offer. During his free time, he enjoys walking, weather photography, going to the movies, and trying new restaurants and breweries.
