Zernich serves WIS as a meteorologist. He joined the station in October 2022. Previously, he served WNWO as a morning meteorologist. He was able to secure his first television job in Greenville, Mississippi where he worked at WXVT. While he was in the station, he served as a weekend meteorologist and reporter for the first two years. Later on, he was promoted to serving as the chief meteorologist at the station a post he served for a period of one and a half years.
Furthermore, while he worked at WXVT, he was also a member of Breaking Greenville which is a national reality show which airs on TruTV. Later on, he relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana where he was able to secure a job at KATC where he served as the weekend meteorologist. In addition, he had the opportunity to cover; Tropical Storm Olga, Tropical Storm Cindy, and Hurricane Barry prior to him also covering Mardi Gras and other local festivities and events.
Additionally, during football and basketball season cheering on the Buckeyes at local sports bars throughout Toledo. During his downtime, he enjoys, exploring the Metro Parks with his dog, Comet, and spending ample time with his family and friends.
