While in college, she did an internship at KSFY in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for a whole summer. After college, she went to work at KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as a Weekend Meteorologist, where she covered several weather events such as severe weather and blizzards. For 2 years (2019 – 2021), she worked for a TV station in Tallahassee, Florida. Now at KCRG, she’s looking forward to leaving behind Atlantic hurricanes and focusing on Midwest blizzards.
When coming to her education Messier is a proud alumnus of Iowa State University, where she obtained a degree in Journalism and Meteorology. During her stint at the university, she served as a producer of “Cy’s Eyes on the Skies”, the student-run TV program.
