That’s when Holly decided to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. She obtained hands-on experience reporting for WUFT-TV after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in telecommunications.
Bristow also hosted the local edition cut-ins for Cox cable, which aired on CNN Headline News in the Gainesville area. She began her career after graduation at WTOC-TV in Savannah, Georgia, before transferring to WSOC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Since joining FOX 35 News in July 2007, Bristow has been in charge of the station’s coverage of the most important local issues, from Caylee Anthony’s disappearance and Casey Anthony’s prosecution to Trayvon Martin’s death and George Zimmerman’s trial. She developed such strong sources in both cases that FOX News Channel called on her on a daily basis to help them improve their coverage.
