Travers works as a morning and midday meteorologist at FOX 2-KITV and airs every Saturday and Sunday morning. Additionally, he covers newscasts during weekdays at noon. She began her career in journalism at CBS and KFVS-TV based in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. From there, she moved to KSN based in Wichita, Kansas.
Travers was honored with a seal of approval in December 2014 by the American Meteorological Society and awarded the Travers Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. He served at the National Weather Service office in Peachtree City, Georgia as a student volunteer while still at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
While at Saint Louis University, the results of her research were used to design products for National Weather Service offices. Travers worked as an intern at KTVI/KPLR during the summer of the year 2010. During her leisure time, she enjoys cheering for the Cardinals and also likes cooking for the Blues. She enjoys a bike ride on the Katy Trail through Missouri’s wine country.
