Before she moved to Baltimore, she served WVLA and WGMB in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While there, she was there, she broadcasted a wide range of severe weather. In 2020, she broadcasted the Easter tornado outbreak, that wreaked havoc across northern Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

Additionally, in Louisiana, she also covered the record-breaking hurricane season after five storms made landfall in the area and three of those storms were hurricanes. In February 2021, Lomax covered the ice storm that left Louisiana residents without power. Prior to working in the Baton Rouge area, she interned with EarthShare, an environmental federation located in Bethesda. While there, she visited a number of government agencies during her internship where she spoke about climate change and what EarthShare does to assist the environment. During her leisure, she enjoys spending time with “Caramel” her 3.5-pound teacup Yorkie and, exploring the many food options that Maryland has to offer.
