Tomazic serves at WPXI as a weekday morning news anchor, appearing from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. Prior to joining WPXI, she worked for CBS 58/WDJT in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a morning/noon news anchor/reporter for 4 years (from December 2009 to March 2013).
Tomazic has worked as an Anchor/Reporter at News 19, WLTX in Columbia, South Carolina. There she worked from September 2006 to December 2009. Before that, she served as an Anchor/Producer at WTAP in Parkersburg, West Virginia from September 2004 to September 2006.
Tomazic found out she loved telling stories when she was in high school. When she went to college, she got a job at the school’s TV station called WOUB. Many people recognized her from a part of the show called “Making Milwaukee Great” where she reported every week. In that segment, she talked about people and groups that were doing good things. While doing those recordings, she met people who encouraged her to get involved in the community.
For Tomazic’s remarkable work, she has been a proud nominee for a Southeast Regional Emmy Award. Also, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association has recognized her for her incredible reporting job. During her leisure time, she likes to ski, run, or travel.
Volunteer Work
Jennifer loves dedicated her time and efforts to various volunteer roles. From April 2010 to March 2013, she served as a Foster Parent and Fundraising Committee Member at the Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, demonstrating her commitment to animal welfare. Since January 2009, Jennifer has been involved with Girls on the Run International, where she has held multiple positions including Board Member, Coach, Running Buddy, and Assistant Coach, contributing to the development and empowerment of children.
Furthermore, from October 2011 to December 2012, she served as a Camp Engagement Committee Member at the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee, focusing on promoting health and well-being. Jennifer’s extensive volunteer work spans over a decade.
