Koeppen’s career also includes her time as a Consumer Correspondent at CBS News from July 2004 to June 2011. Before joining CBS, she worked as a Call 4 Action Reporter/Anchor at WTAE-TV for four and a half years, from February 2000 to July 2004.
Her career began as a Reporter at WHEC-TV, where she worked from December 1995 to February 2000, followed by a brief tenure as a Reporter at WKTV-TV from February 1995 to December 1995. She kickstarted her journalism journey at WNYT-TV, where she served as a Reporter from July 1994 to February 1995.

In the year 2011, while she was getting ready for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, she had a heart attack (Cardiac Arrest). Two medical students who were passing by gave her CPR, and firefighters used a special device called an AED to shock her heart. She is all better now, and Koeppen now speaks for the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation all across the country. She has been working with the American Heart Association and has shared her story on many big talk shows.
