Glavan grew up in the Dallas area, and later her immediate family moved to Indiana she spent summers during her college years getting to know Indy. One of those summers was even spent interning at FOX59 as she developed her skills as a journalist.
Glavan started her career at WPTZ in Plattsburgh, New York, where she got used to tough winters! She spent nearly 3 years there (August 2009 – June 2012). Besides her daily assignments, she produced a yearlong series where she became a “localvore,” only eating food produced within 40 miles of her own home. This became a challenging project but gave her an appreciation of local food and businesses. When coming to her education, she is a grad of the University of Missouri.
