Joe appeared on any of WIS’s shows, depending on the sports story of the day. His competitive attitude and love of sports serve as a natural fit for his job. He began his journey to Columbia in the northeast. Gorchow took advantage of various internships while in school, which led to several on-air experiences as a host for Comcast Newsmakers.
A local politician is being interviewed by a sportsman… It simply sounds correct. In the fall of 2009, he accepted a position as a sports anchor and reporter at KNDU in Kennewick, Washington. While working in Washington State, he wore numerous roles, including producing and hosting a Friday night sports special that was named third in the SPJ Northwest Excellence in Journalism Awards in Sports Reporting in 2010.
When the year 2011 arrived, Joe looked for another award-winning ensemble to join. He found a home at WIS, where he was able to work alongside Rick Henry. Gorchow enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, golfing, and reminiscing about his glory days as a high school pitcher in his spare time.
