John “Appy” Appicello Education
Appicello joined Syracuse University in 1984 after completing his high school studies in Tamaqua. He studied at Syracuse until 1985, when he transferred to the University of Florida. In 1988, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications News and a minor in International Relations.
At Syracuse, Appicello was a cross-country and track athlete. Further, he was inducted into his high school’s Sports Hall of Fame for his cross-country, wrestling and track careers there.
