There he reported on weekends at 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. After graduating from college, he worked at WJHG NewsChannel Seven in Panama City Beach, Florida. Hurricanes Irma and Nate, and even a winter storm that brought snow to Northwest Florida at the station, were covered by Patrick.
Jordan is no stranger to the style of tropical life that Florida has to offer or the weather patterns. As early as 10 years old, he began to develop a curiosity about the weather, especially hurricanes. This interest became a passion during the October 2005 landfall of Hurricane Wilma.
When coming to his education, he decided that at the age of 10, he wanted to further his weather education and become an on-air meteorologist. He then finished his studies at the State University of Mississippi. Jordan became a student meteorologist, forecasting the weathercast, radio station, and newspaper for the Mississippi State Campus Link. He then went on to graduate in Technical Meteorology with a degree.
Jordan likes to relax with a day on the beach if he’s not predicting or looking at weather charts. Health is really important to Jordan as well so feel free to say hello if you see him at the gym! Patrick enjoys cooking as a foodie and trying out local restaurants. Jordan is also a committed supporter of the Miami Heat and Mississippi State Bulldogs.
