Working at WBIR-TV is her dream come true because it was the station that she grew up watching and she always aspired to work there. At first, she dreamed of being an actress. She joined dance classes, theater, speech, and debate, never avoiding the spotlight. It wasn’t until high school that she began to rethink what she wanted to do with her life. Before joining WBIR-TV, she was a student in college.
While in college, Inman had several internships. For 4 months (from January to April 2018), he was a news intern at WKRN in Nashville, Tennessee. Before that, he interned at WBIR Channel 10 News in Knoxville, Tennessee, from May to August 2017. Additionally, he worked as a Beauty Ambassador for Bare Escentuals in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, from June 2014 to August 2017.
She has reported on many stories throughout her career. Some of these stories include the Austin-East Magnet High School shooting, the 2020 Cookeville tornado effects, and Evelyn Boswell’s body’s discovery in Tennessee.
Besides news reporting, Inman also helps promote efforts to give back across East Tennessee. On the 10th of each month, she presents stories about breast cancer to spread awareness and hope via WBIR’s Buddy Check 10 program. She says that these reminders are close to her heart, and she is proud to continue the tradition Robin Wilhoit began in the 1990s to promote breast self-exams. Once a month, she also features a different “Hometown Hidden Gem.” She began this series to showcase hidden spots in communities that people might not know about and to highlight what makes the community special.
