Nickolaou is an Emmy Award Winning Meteorologist and was named one of the youngest News Directors in VUTV history in 2016, and served as a News Director in 2017. In addition to that, she interned at WWMT-TV based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for a period of three months in 2018. Additionally, she began her career as an intern at WOOD TV8 based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Nickolaou worked with four of their best meteorologists weekly and learned from them.
