Before joining the station, she served as an anchor/special correspondent for NH1 News in New Hampshire. She began her journalism career in West Virginia at WOAY-TV immediately after she completed college. Later on, she was able to secure a job at  WCSC in Charleston, South Carolina as a reporter and anchor.

During her career, she has covered a number of stories including; South Carolina Congressman Mark Sanford’s political comeback, the trial of three men accused of killing an American couple in the Caribbean, the 2006 Sago Mine Disaster in West Virginia, and Haiti’s struggle to recover following the 2010 earthquake.

When coming to her education, she is a proud graduate of Western Kentucky University. Vencill taught English and studied Spanish in Antigua where she resided before she relocated to New England. During her downtime, she enjoys volunteering, visiting family and friends at her childhood home in Kentucky, trying to play the fiddle (she took classes in West Virginia), reading, paddle boarding, and traveling. In addition, she loves animals and has two rescued pets.
