Kosuda also managed field production for major live events such as America’s Thanksgiving Parade, Detroit’s Auto Show, the Ford Fireworks, and Aretha Franklin’s Funeral.
Recognized for her outstanding work, Kosuda received the Best Investigative Story award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters (MAB) in 2019 for her investigation into illegal dental braces procedures conducted in basements. She also won an MAB award for Best Community Involvement for her coverage and phone bank initiatives benefiting the Heat and Warmth Fund, which aids Metro Detroiters.
Additionally, she received an award for her team’s investigation into green ooze (hexavalent chromium) discovered seeping onto a major highway in 2019. Before her tenure at WDIV-TV, Kosuda held roles as News Director, anchor, and show host for Shelby TV, a cable news station in Shelby Township, Michigan. During her time there, she played a key role in modernizing the newscast, website, and social media presence while actively engaging with the community.
Under her leadership, the Shelby TV team received multiple awards, including several Telly Awards for Best Newscast. Additionally, she hosted major township events such as the State of the Township, County Business Awards, and Christmas events. While originally from Rochester Hills, Michigan, Kosuda lives at Hearst Tower in New York City.
