From January 1999 to 2000, he worked at KXTV Channel 10 Sacramento where he served as the morning anchor.

Prior to that, he worked at KTLA Channel 5 Los Angeles where he served as a reporter from April 1989 to June 1990. From April 1988 to April 1990, he worked at KSEE Channel 24 Fresno where he served as a reporter in Fresno. He previously spent about 6 years working at the USA Navy serving as a Navy Journalist.
