Kevin Hogan Career

In Bridgeport, Hogan attended Kolbe High School and later graduated. His broadcasting career started on the campus radio station, WXCI-FM, at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. In addition, he was also interned in New York City on WNEW-TV and “The Ten O’Clock News with Bill Jorgensen.”

In 1979, with veteran broadcaster Ron Rohmer, Hogan anchored mornings in New Haven on WELI-AM. He became News Director at WAVZ and WKCI (KC101) after a year, during which time he received many awards for broadcasting.

Channel 3 chose Hogan in 1997 to take on the position of special correspondent to cover the historic trip to Cuba of Pope John Paul II. After he returned, Kevin became a regular member of the Eyewitness News team. Kevin says his job offers him a chance to meet individuals every day and to report on stories that benefit communities. He enjoys family time with his painstakingly restored 1959 MGA Roadster when he is not working.
