Until returning home in 2015 for an anchor spot at News 12 Connecticut in Norwalk, she spent 7 years reporting and anchoring at different stations in Upstate New York.
She has reported on catastrophic weather events throughout the course of her career, flew with the Blue Angels, and had the honor of meeting so many wonderful people who have encouraged her to share their stories.
Her work has won multiple awards, including in NY. Caitlin’s stories have been honored by the New York State Broadcasters Association, her coverage of the 2009 mass shooting in Binghamton, the Syracuse Press Club, and the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists.
When coming to her education, Nuclo attended Hamden High School in 2000. Later, in 2008, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Connecticut. She is also a grad of the University of Connecticut. While there, she interned at WFSB in 2007.
