Shalhoup started her career in Orlando as a competitive golfer for more than ten years at the Golf Channel. She is proud to say that during her career she has interviewed Phil Mickelson, has been put in a headlock by the one-and-only Gary Player, and met Tiger Woods.
She took a job opportunity as a weather anchor and reporter at KNDU/KNDO, the NBC affiliate in Eastern Washington. Later on, she developed her passion for forecasting at WBRE/WYOU in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She covered everything from wildfires to Nor’Easters, to tornadoes between Washington and Pennsylvania. A huge part of what led her to Nashville is her love of dynamic, and tough weather.
She is an origin of the North West regardless of the fact she has traveled all over the country. While she attended college, she spent four years in the Big Apple. During that period of time, she was a writer for the athletic department, a member of the R&A’s digital media team, and the proud captain of NYU’s women’s golf team. When coming to her education, she is a proud graduate of New York University (NYU). During her leisure time, she enjoys eating at an amazing restaurant in Nashville or hiking with her husband and two dogs.
