Edwards serves at NBC10 Boston as a Morning News Anchor. Previously, she was in Springfield, Massachusetts working for WWLP-22 as an anchor of Monday to Friday newscasts. She got her start at WBZ 1030-AM radio as a news writer. From there, she went to work for WICZ-TV 40, the Fox affiliate in Binghamton, New York, as a news reporter. 

Edwards’ first anchorage on TV was on MediaOne cable news network. At this time, she was also working as an anchor for the morning drive news anchor for WILD 1090AM. She has served as an instructor of courses for the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.

Edwards is a proud alumnus of Emerson College. She graduated magna cum laude from the university with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her leisure, she likes to volunteer for various youth groups.

Edwards has been straightening her hair over the years with NBC10 Boston, as well as other TV stations. She says that it has been an arduous process straightening the hair and she believed it was a said necessity for Black female news anchors. Edwards spends up to over $1,2000 every 6 weeks for the maintenance and cost of the braids.

Edwards’ first Instagram post wearing braids was on October 19, 2021. This was the day that she had a moderate mayoral debate between Michelle Wu(mayor-elect) and  Annissa Essaibi George(City Councilor).
