She worked for CBS 3 Eyewitness Weather team from September 2015 to June 2022. Before that, she worked for CBS3’s sister station, WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, where she was a weekend meteorologist from August 2011 to September 2015.
Casey worked at WINK-TV in southwest Florida as the morning meteorologist before joining WCCO. In Macon, Georgia, she started her broadcasting career where she honed her extreme weather forecasting abilities that include anything from hail to tornadoes.
Lauren holds the American Meteorological Society’s qualification of Qualified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM). She especially enjoys sharing information with children and adults and has taught a weather course for the Renaissance Program of Florida Gulf Coast University as well as hosted children’s workshops.
Lauren has a passion for the outdoors, in addition to the weather. She shared Glacier National Park’s backcountry trails with grizzly bears, and she trekked through Zion, Grand Teton, and Grand Canyon parks.
When coming to her education, she graduated from the University of Rutgers in 2006, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. While at Rutgers, she interned with the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey, and at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia.
