After two years spent as a weekend meteorologist in Little Rock, Arkansas at KARK-TV / KLRT-TV, the NBC and Fox station affiliates, Matt returned to the Philadelphia area. Earlier, in 2012, Matt started his career in Sioux City, Iowa, where he spent three years as a morning meteorologist at KCAU-TV, an ABC affiliate there. Matt experienced prolonged cold weather in the winter and severe storms in the spring, including EF-3 and EF-4 tornadoes, while in Sioux City.
When coming to his education, Peterson went on to attend Penn State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, as a graduate of Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School. Matt predicted the weather for CNET Channel 7 during his tenure at Penn State.
