As a multimedia journalist, she is accustomed to recording her own video, so don’t be startled if you see her with camera equipment. She joined the station in May 2019.
She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, but chose to attend the University of Oklahoma by driving up I-35. Lauren opted to enroll in journalism at OU since she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do with her life. She rapidly acquired a passion for it. Lauren acquired experience at her college’s student-run program, OU Nightly, where she worked as a producer, reporter, anchor, and director.
Her passion for Sooner football influenced her decision to attend OU, and she was able to combine her passion for football with her passion for reporting by covering games for the university. Lauren moved to Wichita Falls shortly after graduation in May 2019 to begin her journalism career at KFDX.
Lauren spends her free time socializing with friends and family, watching TV shows, and exploring her new hometown of Wichita Falls. She’s excited to learn more about Texoma and get experience in her first job!
