Clay serves at KATV ABC 7 News as a news reporter and anchor. She discovered her love for journalism while he was in high school when working at a local radio station. At Ouachita Baptist University, she wrote for The Signal newspaper, joined the Ouachita News Show, and was also very active in the English department.
In the year 2022, Clay represented Ouachita Baptist University at the Miss Arkansas contest as Miss Ouachita Baptist University. She also returned in the following year (2023) as Miss White River. Holding that title, she promoted confidence-building in classrooms in the state with “The Confidence Blueprint” (her initiative), which she created herself. Clay teamed up with Jessica Saum (the 2022 Arkansas Teacher of the Year) and the Arkansas Department of Education’s Arkansas THRIVE program, to provide this curriculum to teachers statewide.
While in college, Clay had an internship with KATV for 3 months (from June 2023 to August 2023). She says that her great experience with the station and the people of Arkansas made her realize she would like to make KATV and Little Rock, AR her home.
Throughout her journalism career, she has won several honors for her outstanding work. For TV news coverage, the Arkansas College Media Association honored her with a 1st place award, website editor of the year, and news anchor of the year. At Ouachita Baptist University, Clay was recognized as the school’s Outstanding Graduate in Communications in the year 2024.
