She stayed there for about two and a half years. When it comes to internships, Nguyen has interned at NBC26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and WGN in Chicago.
Nguyen began her TV career at KWQC-TV6 in Davenport, Iowa. She has also spent a winter interning in Green Bay, and it happened to be when the Packers won the Super Bowl. After moving from Iowa, she went to work in Memphis, Tennessee.
Nguyen figured out how she wanted to tell stories, through video, when she went to college. One of the first broadcast stories that Nguyen has ever put together and will never forget was for a final project in one of her journalism classes. The story was about a carpenter who went thousands of miles, delivering wooden crosses for roadside memorials for people who lost their families and friends in the tragedy. Mostly, they went to parents who lost their children.
During her leisure, she likes attending various fitness classes, practicing yoga, trying new restaurants, and rooting for the Wildcat and the Chicago Bears. She also likes traveling (she has traveled to South America, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Middle East).
