Hunter works at WREG News Channel 3 as a breaking news and weekend daybreak anchor. He began his career as a production assistant at a local news station as a senior in high school. Before graduating from college He later earned a spot as an anchor sports and reporter all before graduating college. Hunter graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Mississippi State University.
He worked in WAPT-TV for a period of 8 years. Thereafter, he became Morning News Anchor at WCBI-TV in the capital city. He was the Morning News Anchor for Jackson’s morning show, which won multiple Emmys. He covered national stories including; the fight to change the Mississippi state flag, the Jackson water crisis of 2021, and Mississippi’s oral arguments to the U.S. Supreme Court.
