She started her career as a reporter who covered the Statehouse for different local stations, such as WBUR in Boston, Massachusetts. She has also reported for WABC Radio and WCBS Radio in New York, as well as for many NPR radio stations.
Throughout her impressive career, Stephanos has reported on multiple big news events. She covered things like the John F. Kennedy Jr. plane crash, the Worcester Cold Storage fire, the September 11 attacks from Washington D.C. and Boston, the Presidential recount in Florida, and the Red Sox winning the World Series.
Some of the other major stories she has ever covered include the Patriots winning the Super Bowl, the passing of Thomas Menino (Boston Mayor) and Edward Kennedy (Senator), the Marathon bombings in Boston, and Whitey Bulger’s trial and capture. The Alpha Omega Society honored Stephanos with a Lifetime Achievement Award. This award was given to her by Michael Dukakis (former Governor).
When coming to her education, Stephanos is a proud alumnus of Emerson College in Boston, MA. She graduated from the university with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in mass communications. During her leisure time, she likes to cook (Greek recipes are her favorites), play any kind of sports, spend precious time with her friends and family, and explore or vacation in New England.
