While at FOX 56, he has covered high school basketball and football on “Home Team Friday Nights,” and won “Best Sports Prep Show” from the Kentucky Broadcasters Association together with Nicole Hutchison and Mitch Brown. Epps also assisted in launching “The OT on FOX 56 Sports,” a sports show that airs on FOX 56 at 11 pm Sunday.
Before joining FOX 56 News, he worked for WJHL-TV from September 2019 to September 2021 where he served as a sports reporter. He additionally had a digital emphasis on rising sports content on the station’s website and social media platforms. Prior to joining WJHL-TV, Michael served as a Sports Photographer for WLNS-TV from August 2017 to August 2019.
