Shingleton began his TV career when he was still in high school and worked at WBRZ as a member of the floor crew, pushing cameras, and running teleprompter. He later shifted to switching tape and operating cameras where he later decided to move from behind the camera.
Later in August 2005, just before Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, Shingleton moved to the news department as an editor and later became a photographer. He briefly relocated to Crawford Communication for nine months, primarily to learn satellite uplink operations. During his leisure time, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also enjoys watching sports, playing golf, watching current events, and working out.
