She worked off-screen for two years before she transitioned to reporting. Ultimately, she worked her way up and became a weekend evening anchor where she produced and anchored her own newscast.
While in South Bend, Wood spearheaded ABC57’s first Black History Month series, where she spotlighted the rich past, present, and future of the local Black community. A three-sport athlete in high school and college, she is passionate about sports, helped debut and host ABC57’s initial high school basketball show.
Wood is familiar with the cold as she is native to Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is thrilled to spend more time in the Midwest, exploring all that Indy region has to offer. Moreover, she is excited to make a difference by unchaining the diverse communities in the region and help share their special perspectives through storytelling.
