Snider serves at KMVT as a Morning Meteorologist, a position he has held since October 2022. He began as a Multimedia Journalist and Weekend Meteorologist at the station. Before joining KMVT, he worked for Scalia Lab, in Athens, Ohio as a lead forecaster for 2 and a half years. Snider has always had a love for weather. He used to deal with all the wild weather northeast Ohio threw when he was young, from severe thunderstorms to snowstorms.
The unforgettable weather events of Snider were two: one was the Valentine’s Day winter storm in the year 2007 where more than one foot of snow was recorded, and the other one was an enormous severe rotating storm that impacted Lakewood, Ohio on May 7, 2010.
While in college, Dr. Jana Houser (tornado scientist) advised and mentored him, and took him together with some of his classmates on a storm chase in the year 2019. During this trip, Snider saw 2 tornadoes up close and was able to cover many severe weather events such as wall-to-wall coverage on June 10, 2020, He spent 10 hours straight on the coverage.
Other than working as a meteorologist, Snider has worked as a Seasonal Worker at New York Community Bank (NYCB). He has also worked for Ripcho Studio in General Maintenance. During his leisure, he likes to watch sports – cheering for the Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers, as well as ski, bike, golf, and hike. He anticipates exploring the hiking trails at Sawtooth National Forest and hitting the Sun Valley slopes.
