Previously, she served KNXV-TV (ABC/Scripps) in Phoenix, Arizona as a reporter and fill-in anchor. She began working for ABC15 in August 2018.
She is originally from Southwest Florida, where she began her journalism career at WINK News. There, she tackled some of the state’s most important stories, as well as ones that had a national influence. Nicole was one of the first reporters to cover the Parkland, Florida, shooting, in which 17 kids were slain. She has assisted desperate moms in their search for their children in obtaining answers and finding peace.
She was also in the spotlight, covering the significant effects of Hurricane Irma and even traveling across the country to track down an alleged killer on the run. Nicole is driven by a desire to discover the truth. She dives deep and is always eager to assist. She knows that every story begins with a simple query; all she needs to do is start connecting the dots. She’s now bringing that same sense of wonder and passion to Phoenix.
She is a Puerto Rican who is proud of her roots and has family on the island. She was reared in Miami but is delighted to be trading palm trees for saguaros in the Valley, and she is ecstatic to embark on this new adventure.
