Folger serves at KSTP-TV 5 Eyewitness News as a news anchor. Before joining KSTP, he worked for KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City as an Evening News Anchor for a decade (from July 2008 to July 2018). His journey as a News Anchor began at NCN5-News Northland Cable News in Forest City, NC, where he held this position from October 1995 to September 1996.

Following his time in North Carolina, Folger moved on to become a Bureau Chief at WHSV-TV3 (ABC Affiliate) in Harrisonburg, Virginia, from September 1996 to July 1997. Continuing to climb the ladder of success, Folger served as a Weekend News Anchor at WCTI TV 12 (ABC Affiliate) in New Bern, North Carolina, for a year and five months, starting in July 1997.

Folger’s career journey led him to Dallas/Fort Worth Area, where he became a News Reporter at KDAF-Dallas-Fort Worth from November 1998 to October 2002. Moving forward, Folger took on the role of a Morning News Anchor at WTEV-47 Jacksonville, FL (CBS) from October 2002 to July 2008. From there, he now joined KOCO, and then finally KSTP.

Throughout his career, he has reported on remarkable breaking news occurrences. One such instance was in the year 2013 when he covered an EF-5 tornado that brought devastation to a suburb of Oklahoma City. He has accompanied Marines on missions related to a Space Shuttle launch at Cape Canaveral. Additionally, he had the privilege of journeying alongside World War II Veterans during an Honor Flight to Washington, DC, where they visited their Memorial. Notably, Folger played a co-anchoring role in the coverage of the 2009 blizzard, which garnered a Murrow Award.

Besides working as a journalist, Folger has resided in Germany and while there he served a summer job at a needle factory. Subsequently, he embarked on a backpacking journey across various parts of Europe. Additionally, he moved to America and resided there while living in a Volkswagen van.
