Before her time in San Diego, Sridhar gained experience as a general assignment and investigative reporter for the CBS affiliate in San Antonio, TX. Her career has taken her to various locations and roles, including being a White House correspondent and morning show co-host in New York City for Arise News, an international news channel, and working as a Washington correspondent and anchor for RT. She also served as a South Asia bureau chief and correspondent in New Delhi, India.
Sridhar started her career at NBC affiliate stations in Maine. She also worked at the Associated Press in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout her career, Sridhar has covered impactful stories, including the aftermath of the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, as an Associated Press reporter, and the historic 2015 presidential elections in Nigeria.
In addition to her journalism work, she is an officer in the United States Navy Reserve, reflecting her love for San Diego developed through her military service. Sridhar is actively involved in various journalism organizations, serving as the co-President of Asian American Journalists Association San Diego and being on the board of directors for Military Veterans in Journalism.
