Before that, he was a Multimedia Journalist at KTVE/KARD in Monroe, Louisiana, from November 2016 to December 2018. Randall Newsome Surgery | Illness

In the year 2022, Newsome shared his death-threatening story in an interview. He said that when he was 15 years old, he was eating an apple when part of his braces broke and he accidentally swallowed it. This caused a hole in his intestine without him knowing, and he developed an infection over a few weeks. Luckily, he and his dad went to the hospital in time for surgery. The doctors said if they had not acted quickly, Newsome could have died. He however got treated and he is now in good health.
