Newsome serves at WMAR-2 News as a morning news anchor. He worked for WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana for 4 years and 2 months (from December 2018 to January 2023), before going to WMAR-TV. There he hosted and reported on the shows: “Life Style Live!” at 10 AM and “All Indiana” at 4 PM.
Before that, he was a Multimedia Journalist at KTVE/KARD in Monroe, Louisiana, from November 2016 to December 2018. Outside of journalism, Newsome also worked as a Personal Trainer at RRQB from 2013 to July 2015 and as a Package Handler at FedEx Ground from October 2014 to May 2015. Additionally, he interned as a sports intern at ABC 13 Eyewitness Sports in Houston in the year 2012.

Randall Newsome Surgery | Illness
In the year 2022, Newsome shared his death-threatening story in an interview. He said that when he was 15 years old, he was eating an apple when part of his braces broke and he accidentally swallowed it. This caused a hole in his intestine without him knowing, and he developed an infection over a few weeks. Luckily, he and his dad went to the hospital in time for surgery. The doctors said if they had not acted quickly, Newsome could have died. He however got treated and he is now in good health.
