Following his graduation from college, Mills secured his first TV job at KATC in Lafayette. There, he produced the morning show, “Good Morning Acadiana.” Moreover, he was a substitute sports and news reporter for the station when necessary. His morning newscast won him the second-place spot in the Associated Press Louisiana-Mississippi Broadcasters competition in 2016.
KTBS hired Mills as its news reporter and East Texas correspondent in 2018. Later that year, WGNO hired him as a morning show producer before he began his role in sports reporting and anchoring in February.
