Wallace serves at KXAN as a sports anchor in the 6 pm and 10 pm newscasts. He is also the host of Game night on Sundays at 10:30 pm. On KBVO-TV he serves as a play-by-play voice for High School Football and Basketball. Since 2004 he has been part of the Longhorn Football Radio Network, he was a sideline reporter for seven years and later in 2011 moved to the color analyst position.
He was a sports reporter for KSBY-TV on the central coast of California in San Luis Obispo, from there he moved to Tyler, Texas, and was the main sports anchor for three years at KLTV. Then he was a sports reporter at KAKE-TV and was the television voice of Wichita State basketball and baseball he came to Austin in 1995.
Wallace was the sideline reporter for the University of Texas Football radio network for seven years including their National Championship season of 2005 and later on, in 2011 he served as their radio analyst. he covered both the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The Austin Chronicle named him the best sportscaster, prior to that he won the “Best Sportscast” voted on by the Texas Associated Press multiple times. During his spare time, he likes playing basketball, golf, and the never-ending battle with the elliptical machine.
