Scott was honored with a 2018 Goldie Award for his breaking news reporting, as well as the 2019 NEA Alaska Silver Bell Award for his coverage of education in Alaska. One of Scott’s favorite experiences in Alaska is covering the 2019 Iditarod dog sled race with the military.

Scott worked as an anchor/reporter/producer in South Dakota before moving to Alaska, with Mount Rushmore in his backyard. He worked as a sports director on the radio for almost a decade, calling high school and college athletic events and winning multiple Associated Press honors for his sports play-by-play and coverage.
