He served as a member of the KYMA News Team from February 2010 till his June 2022 departure. Fram’s passion for broadcasting began as a child when he would pretend to be a sportscaster using a cassette tape recorder. What he didn’t realize at the time was that as he grew up, he’d be talking about the weather with everyone!

What he didn’t realize at the time was that as he grew up, he’d be talking about the weather with everyone! Because this is Rob Fram’s second time with KYMA, some of you may know that he is no news to the News 11 crew. You may recall Rob presenting weather forecasts from 2002 to 2004 before going on to the Shreveport, Louisiana NBC affiliate (KTAL).

Rob later returned to the west coast, where he attended and graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California, between 2007 and 2009. He is now looking forward to returning to News 11 as an anchor for the Early and Nightside programs, as well as presenting the weather during the week.

Rob has a deep affection for and understanding of the desert climate and culture. Mostly because he grew up in Yuma and has spent so much of his life here. Rob enjoys country cooking and Mexican cuisine, as well as reading! He is grateful for God’s love and support, as well as the love and support of his family and friends near and far.
