Prior to joining Arizona Family, he worked at KOB-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he served as an anchor and reporter from 1988 to 1989. He had previously spent about 1 year working at KMIR 6 News where he served as the morning news anchor from 1987 to 1988. From 1983 to 1985, he worked at KTVO-TV where he served as an anchor and reporter in Kirksville, MO.
Since he began his journalism career, he has enclosed several stories including the Los Angeles riots which earned him an Emmy award. He also enclosed the OJ Simpson trial, breaking news stories, and the Oklahoma City Bombing and has traveled the country. In addition to that, he also went to several states in the USA and enclosed different stories.

A couple from Tulsa, Oklahoma bought the nearly 6,000-square-foot house which has a rooftop observation deck and a five-car garage.
