Before his time at KWTX-TV, Sean worked as a Sports Reporter at WAOW-TV for two years and ten months, from January 2010 to October 2012.
Prior to his TV career, he gained experience as a Sports Editor at The Herald-Press for a year and six months, from August 2008 to January 2010. Sean’s passion for broadcasting was evident during his time as the Sports Director for HTV News, where he dedicated four years from 2004 to 2008. Over the years of his career, he has won many awards and honors. He holds a number of Texas Associated Press awards, a regional Emmy Award, an Edward R. Murrow award, and several national Telly awards.
Besides being a journalist, Giggy is also a singer. He participated in show choir groups throughout his school years, including being part of an acclaimed show choir in high school. He also mentioned being part of a gospel choir and an all-male a cappella group during college. Although he humorously mentioned not wanting to share videos of his performances online to avoid potential blackmail, he expressed interest in finding opportunities to sing or be cast in a musical in North Texas.
During his leisure time, he likes to take long strolls on the beach, watch chick flicks, explore the outdoors, play or watch basketball, eat, or hang out with his family and friends. He says that he used to play basketball in his early years (he is an avid lover of basketball).
